Volunteer with ICHANGE
At ICHANGE, volunteers play a vital role in supporting justice-involved youth and young adults. Join our mission to provide healing-centered spiritual care and help guide the next generation toward a brighter future.
To become a volunteer, applicants must:

Be 21 years or older and complete volunteer screening forms required by the Department of Probation.

Attend ICHANGE orientation, training sessions, online Child Abuse Reporting training, and participate in a tour of Juvenile Hall.
​

Provide proof of immunization and undergo quick response testing when visiting youth.
ICHANGE Volunteer Training Program

ICHANGE mentors and volunteers receive specialized training from Interfaith Chaplains and experienced ICHANGE volunteers. Training focuses on:

Understanding the issues and challenges faced by justice-involved youth.
​

Learning healing-centered spiritual care practices.
​

Group management techniques for working with small groups of youth.
​

Continued support and ongoing training are provided to ensure you’re equipped to serve effectively.
